Sometimes WiFi calling does not work due to issues like lack of support, some network issues, or any other device-specific issue. Here are some solutions to WiFi calling not working problem on iPhone.

1.Check WiFi Calling Support

If you are an iPhone user and want to use WiFi calling feature, you must be using iPhone 5C or later model. Also, your iPhone must be updated to at least iOS 11.2 to support WiFi calling. So please update your iPhone to the latest OS version available.

Here is the complete list of iPhones that support WiFi Calling in India on Airtel’s network. In India, apart from Airtel, Jio also supports this feature, and Vi network has also launched the feature for iPhone users.

2.Restart your iPhone

The first thing and probably the most important thing that you can try is restarting your iPhone. You have to restart your iPhone as well as your WiFi Router and then try making WiFi calls. Hopefully this will fix the problem.

Apart from this, you can also try by enabling and disabling flight mode. This will turn off all network connections, cellular and wifi, and then turn them back on again. This can sometimes fix Wi-Fi calling problems as well.

3.Turn on/off WiFi Calling

Sometimes, you forget to check but WiFi calling feature is not enabled on your iPhone. Note, it is not enabled by default. You can enable it from setting, here below how to enable.

  1. Go to the Settings of your iPhone.
  2. Select Phone and then Wifi Calling.
  3. Now, Enable Toggle next to Wi-Fi Calling.
  4. Confirm by tapping on Toggle next to Wifi Calling on this iPhone.
  5. Click on Enable in the pop-up.

Next, when you call someone from your device while within Wi-Fi network coverage, your calls will automatically be routed over Wi-Fi. If this also doesn’t work, follow the next step.

4.Enable LTE

Since this feature only relies on WiFi networks and not cellular networks, you should try turning off LTE service on your iPhone once. This may prevent your iPhone from using the Wi-Fi network to make calls. The way to enable LTE is given below:

  1. Go to your iPhone’s Settings.
  2. Then choose Mobile Data option.
  3. Now, stop the toggle next to LTE.

If this feature is not available on your network, you can simply switch off mobile data.

Also, do not forget to re-enable this service, as you will not be able to use mobile data and call through mobile network until it is enabled.

5.Test the Carrier Settings Upgrade

Sometimes network operators release new updates to upgrade their network for better connectivity. If your network provider has updated the WiFi calling carrier, then you should check whether you have received the carrier settings update on your iPhone. This way:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap on General and select About Me at the top.
  3. Here you will see a notification pop-up if any new update is available.

6.Reset Network Settings

Lastly, if none of these fixes work, you can perform a Network Settings Reset on your iPhone. Resetting the network does not delete any data, it only resets the setting of your phone.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap on General and click on Reset Option.
  3. Now tap on reset network option.
  4. Confirm by tapping on the pop-up.

After that try to make wifi call again and i hope it will work.

If resetting iPhone Settings and Network Settings doesn’t work, try connecting your iPhone to another Wi-Fi network and making a WIFI call.

I hope the above mentioned Android and iPhone Wifi Calling feature not working related issues have helped you. Stay tuned for more such Android and iPhone tips and tricks
